In the past, the Midnight Mechanics have done several workshops that range in branches of our team. We have had Drive Train, Arm, Mechanical, and Programming workshops that all were branches of the Mechanical department of the Midnight Mechanics. We’ve worked with individual schools to help them improve them these branches. The Midnight Mechanics have also been versatile in that we have done workshops related to the Public Relations department. There have been a series of workshops that were for Community Outreach, as well as Financial Development. We have also done workshops on leadership, helping team members to become better leaders by being assertive, responsible, and respectful all at the same time. Also, as part of our Midnight Academy, we have worked with the Serra Mesa Library to further the computer and media arts lessons to our students. This year, successfully, many of these workshops have been implemented when reaching out to other teams in this year’s Midnight Tour. The students at our school are also able to experience these workshops by staying after school for just one day! The Midnight Mechanics stay everyday during season and at least one day a week any other time. We also have our FIRST Robotics class that has learned many technical as well as business-type skills through presentations and hands-on practice!
