Team 812 is the eldest team in San Diego and we have taken the leadership role to recruit more teams in the county. Now San Diego County boast over ten FIRST Robotics team, creating the Team San Diego FIRST Robotics Coalition. This coalition works together in an effort to bring the FIRST ideals to not only Southern California, but across the border as well.

Team San Diego works together to both host a variety of robotics events in the San Diego area and to support each other in the building of our robots. This web of collaboration between the teams enables both students and adults to work cooperatively towards a common goal.

As leaders in Team San Diego, Team 812 has taken initiative to hold regular discussions, tutorial sessions, demonstrations, and workshops to help other teams on Chairman Awards submission, programming debugging, giving them a mock competition demo, helping on team structure, and more. We have opened up our email list server to all San Diego Teams, which has been successful because of its accessibility for teams to ask questions anytime during the robotics season
