THE STUDENTS
In 2011, the Midnight Mechanics started a new tradition called the Midnight Mechanic of the Week. In this project, the officers get together and decided who we want to award the Midnight of the Week certificate to. Each officer picks one person from his/her respective groups. Through this new project, we try to focus on our own members and show them that we appreciate each and every one of them. We make it clear that everyone has an equal chance of achieving this honor. This credential will have a huge part in deciding whether or not the member will be traveling with us to our out of San Diego regionals or not.
Below are some of the students who have acquired their own Midnight Mechanic of the Week award through their hard work and obvious love for robotics.
MIDNIGHT MECHANICS OF THE WEEK PORTRAITS: COMING SOON. Last modified on 2/22/11.

"Through FIRST, I have been able to build friendships that I am sure will last my entire life."
KATRINA WONG, Midnight Mechanic
Katrina Wong (right) entered the magical world of the Midnight Mechanics as a freshmen in high school. She began her FIRST career as a member of the Community Partnerships department, organizing and facilitating community events. At the Los Angeles Regional, her first regional, she was excited to meet students, like Monica Fernandez (left), who were just as crazy about FIRST as she was. Today, although Monica is off at Purdue University, she still maintains contact with her fellow Midnight Mechanic.
