INTRODUCTION

We are a group of bright high school students from The Preuss School UCSD's FIRST Robotics Team 812 in San Diego, CA. We are a 6th year veteran team of FIRST and are also known as "The Midnight Mechanics".

FIRST Robotics is a multinational program with thousands of teams across the nation. FIRST engages high schoolers in math & science by challenging them to build robots that can beat annual challenges. Students in team 812 design, construct, wire, program and test a full functioning robot in a period of six weeks.

After the building season, we compete at various FIRST regionals around the nation and finally at nationals.

Team 812 robotics not only build robots, but we also widen the spread of math and science in our society's culture. Members of our robotics team does this through a lot of involvement with our community.
